Performed by three dancers of color, Fevers explores each of their intimate journeys of race, ethnicity, sexuality, and gender that express their colors as a human being — shades that narrow representation often butchers or omits. With a score weaving personal anecdotes spoken by the dancers themselves, this telling deconstructs historically lacking and frequently false myths and narratives surrounding black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) and instead underscores their lived experiences in order to examine their selfhoods.
Fevers previewed at the Performance Lab at Trinity Commons on December 13, 2016 and premiered at the La MaMa Experimental
